Dr. Amy Laskar Ung received a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Nutrition Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech in 2004, she also holds a Bachelors of Science in Visual Optics earned in 2005 from Salus University. She received her Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, receiving honors in her clinical rotations. Dr. Laskar is a member of the Virginia Optometric Association and is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. She practices full scope optometry with a focus on the fitting of contact lenses and treatment and management of systemically derived ocular disease such as diabetes and hypertension. She specializes in low vision, dedicating her expertise to the art and science of helping those who are visually impaired. Dr. Laskar is fluent in Bengali and English.
Naiviv Sillerico greets and processes all incoming/outgoing patients, monitors patient flow, answers telephone, schedules and confirms patient appointments, and processes insurance information. The Patient Coordinator uses strong working knowledge of the Optometry industry to address patient inquires, solve problems and promote services offered at Concept Vision. The Patient Coordinator pretests, and provides contact lens support and class.
Concept Vision and Associates was founded in 2011 by Doctor Amy Laskar Ung. We originally opened at the Costco in Woodbridge in 2011 and moved to Alexandria Costco at its grand opening August 2013. Our office is independently owned and operated.

This is what sets our office apart from other offices. This sophisticated refractor offers smooth lens changes and allows the doctor to show minute changes of prescription.
Getting an optomap image is fast, painless, and comfortable. Nothing touches your eye at any time. It is suitable for the whole family. To have the exam, you simply look into the device one eye at a time (like looking through a keyhole) and you will see a flash of light to let you know the image of your retina has been taken.
